Welcome to the new year everyone, and I am pleased to announce that plans for a new album are well underway as well as several other idea's I have in the pipeline. My gig at the old queens head had to be re-scheduled due to travel issues! But there have been a few other gigs added to my shows list at www.josephwatkin.com/shows . Including :

I am in talks with other promoters and venues further afield from my hometown of London, I will post as I go along.

Hello All!

Welcome to this blog I set up for easier news updates and so I can write them from anywhere.
You may have noticed a decline in shows on my gig page, this is because I have been busy writing and recording for a new album entitled 'See Straight Through', which includes the updated and re-recorded versions of 'Emily', 'Mrs Violet' and 'Him'. The album will go on sale sometime around xmas on itunes and cdbaby.com. Below is a provisional piece of artwork lined up for the cover art.

I am also preparing to record some acoustic numbers for a new 3 track E.P, as yet untitled. These tracks will be recorded live, and my plan is to film 3 amateur videos for each in an attempt to start a youtube page.

Passer-By

Meeting the kind folks at CC center london, introduced me to Fraser Kee Scott. And after reading his lyrics we agreed to work together and put some music to his beautiful words. And thus, 'passer-by' was born. The song can be found on my myspace page at www.myspace.com/josephwatkinmusic. The lyrics are added onto the page also, and the track will be available to download on there too!

Many thanks go out to Fraser, and I can't wait for everyone's opinions on the track!
